Last week we looked at a design institution in USM Modular Furniture. This week we look at another design institution.SMEG‘s history begins way back in the 17th century starting with a family of blacksmiths who branched out into kitchen building. In the 20th Century SMEG become synonymous with leading design and technology in kitchen appliances.
They innovated the industry with technologies like the first gas cookers with an automatic switch-on function, an oven safety valve and cooking programmer/timer, first built-in hobs and ovens and the establishment of partnerships with internationally renowned architects and designers. Today they are pushing the boundaries of sustainable design.
High performance and low consumption are features of all SMEG ovens, hobs, dishwashers, washer-dryers, hoods, built-in refrigerators, sinks and coffee machines. Special focus is placed on obtaining the highest energy efficiency class rating in order to help the environment and improve quality of life.
Each of their products considers the way a product communicates with its surroundings and enables users to interact with it. Attention to detail and design solutions bring homes that reflect the image of their occupants to life. With SMEG, appliances take center stage in the heart of the home, a place where people can congregate. The kitchen integrates all of their functions and becomes a perfect, fully-equipped backdrop for those precious and enjoyable moments that we value so much at Hudson Woods.
The 30” Classic Electric Multifunction Oven (above) in stainless steel is a perfect fit for Hudson Woods with ergonomic control knobs, touch control panel and digital display for seamless user experience. The SMEG Cook-top also also features ergonomically designed knobs, 5 gas burners and heavy duty cast iron grates. The kitchen at Hudson Woods will be fully outfitted with SMEG appliances to ensure ease of use and continuity.
The stainless steal dishwasher features a full size tub, hidden stainless steel electronic control panel, self-balancing door, 9 wash cycles and a plethora of other goodies.
